4:40am on October 31st, 2017 marks the best moment of our lives and the start to a never-ending journey that will fundamentally alter everything we know and feel in all the best ways possible.

This seems like the perfect opportunity to start a blog so we can share this journey with close friends and family. We’re aiming for a photo diary of sorts that we can look back on as sweet Dakota grows up and our burgeoning family evolves. We hope this is the first of many posts that give you a glimpse into this new chapter in our lives.

We are waiting until my (immensely talented) brother comes home for the holidays to stage Dakota’s first official photo shoot. Since she’ll be two months old by then, we took Bella Baby up on their offer to shoot a few newborn photos on Dakota’s second day of life while we were still at the hospital.

Given the whirlwind of her first 24 hours of life, she was quite the trooper (until she got hungry!)
